REGARDS THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE FARE FILING (PARA.6 OF SECOND TEL UNDER REF), QANTAS HAVE REQUESTED THE FOLLOWING MINOR
CHANGES TO THE ORIGINAL FILING:
(A)
INCLUSION OF OPEN-JAW ON LAND SECTORS IN AUSTRALIA: (B) THE COMBINATION OF THE GIT ICAP FARES WITH EXISTING IATA
OR OTHER FARES, SO LONG AS THE CONDITIONS ATTACHING TO THE
IATA OR OTHER FARES ARE COMPLIED WITH:
(C) THE WITHDRAWAL OF ALL IATA FARES BETWEEN HONG KONG AND
AUSTRALIA EXCEPT GIT AND IT:
(D)
INCLUSION OF CX AS A CARRIER ON A CIRCLE PACIFIC GROUP
FARE PROVIDED THAT THE PRORATED YIELD TO CX IS NO LESS
THAN 50% OF THE ICAP GIT FARE:
(E) DOMESTIC CARRIERS CAN BE INVOLVED IN TICKETING INTERNATIONAL
ICAP FARES ONLY IF THEY ARE INVOLVED IN THE CARRIAGE OF
THE PASSENGER.
THESE CHANGES ARE ACCEPTABLE TO BOTH CPA AND OURSELVES.
2. IN ADDITION, CPA HAVE PROPOSED (AND QANTAS HAVE ACCEPTED) THAT THE FARE LEVELS IN THE CURRENT FILING BE INCREASED BY 9% REFLECTING THE RECENT IATA PROPOSALS FOR FUEL PRICE INCREASES.
THIS IS ACCEPTABLE TO US AS IT WILL AVOID THE NEED FOR AN INCREASE
EARLY IN THE LIFE OF THE NEW REGIME.
