deation of B747s to DC10 capacity can be lifted.

(iii) In accordance with the provisions of paragraph (ii) above, MAS and BA may operate three services a week between Kuala Lumpur

and London immediately and four services a week on this route from

1 April 1980. Each airline is entitled to introduce a fifth service

six months after the start of the fourth MAS service subject only

to the increase in capacity being justified by traffic growth in

accordance with the formula agreed under the guidelines attached at Annex B. (See also Section V below.) Thereafter progress to

a daily service and beyond will be made in accordance with the

formula.

(iv) MAS may exercise fifth freedom traffic rights between

Brussels and London on no more than two services per week.

(v) BA may exercise fifth freedom traffic rights between Kuala

Lumpur and Manila on no more than two services per week.

III Services on the Regional Routes

(i)

Until 31 October 1979 MAS may continue to operate those services between Peninsular Malaysia and Hong Kong and beyond on

Malaysia Route 2 that it currently operates.

(ii) Between 1 November 1979 and 31 December 1979 MAS may operate

3 x DC10, 2 x A300B, and 2 x B707 services per week between Peninsular

Malaysia and Hong Kong on Malaysia Route 2, and of these services

3 x DC10 and 2 x B707 may proceed beyond Hong Kong to Taipeh and
