The designated airline of the United Kingdom will not be allowed
to exercise fifth freedom traffic rights between the following
points on UK Route 3 and Kota Kinabulu and Kuching:
Bandar Seri Begawan Singapore
The designated airline of Malaysia will not be allowed to
exercise fifth-freedom traffic rights between the following points
on Malaysia Route 1 and London:-
Athens.
Amsterdam
II Services on the Trunk Route
(i) Both sides hope that the traffic on the London-Kuala
Lumpur route can be so developed that a daily frequency can be
operated by the national flag carriers of each country by the mid-
1980s.
In
(ii) British Airways (BA) and Malaysian Airline System (MAS) may
operate wide bodied aircraft between London and Kuala Lumpur in each
direction on UK and Malaysian Routes 1 respectively. For the time
being, BA will operate B747s or L1011s and MAS will operate DC10s.
due course, MAS may change to B747s. For so long as MAS operate
DC10s, BA may not offer for sale more than the equivalent number of
seats per week on their B747s. If MAS decide to change to B747s, they
may also not offer for sale more than the number of seats per week
that would have been available had they operated DC10s. The
aeronautical authorities of both sides may agree, however, that this
