Crew for
ferry vessels

(2) No ferry vessel shall be placed on the ferry service
until such vessel has been approved by the Director of Marine..
Once such approval has been given, the licensee shall not,
without the express approval of the Director of Marine, substitute
another vessel in the ferry service in lieu of the approved vessel.
(3) If during the subsistence of the licence it is necessary
in the opinion of the Commissioner for Transport to increase the number
of forry vessels or to substitute other ferry vessels for any which
may have been lost or withdrawn or become unsuitable, the licensee
shall at his own expense, within such period as the Governor in
Council may think fit, provide additional or substituted ferry
vessels of such number, dimensions, speed and design as the
Governor in Council may approve.

(4) For the purpose of properly maintaining the ferry
service but without increasing it, the licensee shall, if required
by the Commissioner for Transport, provide and properly maintain
additional ferry vessels in reserve of such number, dimensions,
speed and design as the Commissioner for Transport may approve.
(5). No ferry vessel of the licensee shall be used in or for
the service until it has been painted in such colour or colours
as the Director of Marine may direct.
(6) The licensee shall equip and fit the ferry vessels and
maintain such vessels in a state of sea-worthiness and efficiency
to the satisfaction of the Director of Marine. These ferry
vessels must also be licensed or registered by the Director of
Marine.
(7) Every ferry vessel used in or for the service shall be insured by the licensee to the full replacement cost of the vessel under all eventualities.
7.
The licensee shall provide for each ferry vessel other than a ferry vessel in reserve such personnel as the Director of Marine may direct.
