We refer to the newspaper report on the Government proposal to permit the Hong Kong & China Gas Co. Ltd. to erect a gas container near Wah
Fu Chuen, at the reclamation site at Tin Wan, Aberdeen. We agreed unanimously
after conferring that the site is too near the residentail area.
Once any accident occurs, causing fires or explosions, nearby residents will be affected. We will be grateful if you would direct our objection to the authorities con-
cerned and request that the proposal be given up.
