II) Refusal to recognise the tanure of the seven buildings

stated on the lease that the tenure of all the buildings are equally shared among all units. But Government brutally stripped us of our rights by declaring the seven buildings as 'Crown Land' in a sheet of gazette, and refusing to take into account the value of the tenure in computing the prices of the premises. Why? What a sheer suppression.

But the authority concerned could not give any explanation of the conditions for assessment whereon our buildings were valued when questioned by our represent- atives. 'Professional valuation' was the only word they could give us as a means of shifting of responsibility.
