That this House, deeply concerned at the resumption order issued by the Government of Hong Kong in respect of the residential building at Sai Lau Kok to the effect that over a hundred families must vacate their homes by 31st July, without equivalent alternative accommodation or compensation sufficient to purchase equivalent accom- modation being offered, in order to allow demolition to commence, calls upon Her Majesty's Government to intervene forthwith to postpone the order until negotiations with the owner-occupiers have been concluded in a satisfactory manner.
