Eligible occupants of unauthorized domestic structures.

- A setting-up allowance of $20,000, designed to
meet legal expenses and stamp duty charges on the purchase of new premises, payable upon proof of purchase of new commercial premises before 30th June 1980, unless already included in statutory disturbance compensation.

Compensation in full for loss of business and removal expenses.
Provided the trade being carried on is one which is permissible in a Government flatted factory, the offer of accommodation on the usual terms in a Government flatted factory in Tsuen Wan now under construction and which will be ready for occupation before the end of the year. Operators who qualify for this offer will, if they wish, be given a temporary resite in Kwai Chung until the new flatted factory building is ready for free storage of goods and equipment.

The differences between the present offer and the previous offer are as follows:-
(a) The rent allowance of $1,500 per month for owner-
occupiers of domestic flats who choose to purchase alternative accommodation rather than accept public housing will be available up to the end of June 1980 instead of, as previously, up to the end of December 1979.
(b) The setting-up allowance of $10,000, which was
previously available only to owner-occupiers of domestic flats who decided to purchase new accommodation rather than accept public housing, is now available to all owners of domestic flats who purchase new accommodation before the end of June 1980.
(c) A new setting-up allowance of $20,000 is available
to all owners of ground floor shop/workshop premises provided they purchase new premises before the end of June 1980, unless already included in statutory disturbance compensation.
