DESPATCH ON THE VISIT OF PREMIER HUA
1. Mr Cradock indicated that he would welcome a Despatch on
Premier Hua's visit. You said that such a Despatch should be
short, concentrating on our assessment rather than on a
reiteration of the programme and the content of the talks.
2.
I now submit a draft based on an original outline draft by
Mr Fursland on which both Mr McLaren and Mr Samuel made a number
of comments. If there are no major problems with this draft we
should aim to get it into this Friday's bag.
