GOVERNOR OF HONG KONG

Thank you for your letter of 4 June about the Governor of Hong Kong's forthcoming visit to London for consultations about the problem of Vietnamese refugees.

The Prime Minister has agreed to see Sir Murray MacLehose, and will be grateful if he would call on her on Thursday, 14 June, at 1800 in her room at the House of Commons.

I should be grateful if briefing for Sir Murray's call could reach me not later than 1700 on Tuesday, 12 June.

I am sending copies of this letter to Tony Butler (Home Office), Roger Facer (Ministry of Defence) and Martin Vile (Cabinet Office).

Yours

ever,

Bryanlardan.

J.S. Wall, Esq.,

Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
