GOVERNOR OF HONG KONG'S CALL ON THE SECRETARY OF STATE, 13 JUNE
1. Sir Murray MacLehose will be calling on the Secretary of State
at 16.30 on 13 June. The Lord Privy Seal, Mr Blaker and officials
have been asked to join the meeting at 16.45.
2. I attach 3 copies of the briefs provided for the Governor's
call on the Prime Minister on 14 June. You agreed that this would
probably meet the Secretary of State's briefing requirements (except,
possibly, on reinforcement, on which the Defence Secretary has now
written to Lord Carrington). You will no doubt let me know if
anything further is needed.
