MY FAMILIARISATION VISIT TO HONG KONG: 10-24 NOVEMBER
1. I am writing to thank you for the very hard work which you clearly put into arranging and co-ordinating my recent visit to Hong Kong.
2.
I appreciate the difficulties you faced. I could spend only two weeks in Hong Kong, yet the list of interests which I sent in advance covered an extremely wide and diverse group of topics. Nevertheless, the programme was very well balanced, informative and enjoyable. Although I found the schedule rigorous invariably having to dash from one visit to another - it is, if I may say, greatly to your credit that the programme progressed completely smoothly, with only one or two minor amendments.
· 3. There is a long list of people to whom I owe sincere thanks for the warm and helpful reception I enjoyed throughout my stay. I fear it simply will not be possible to write to everyone involved, so may I ask you to forward my thanks to them all.
