Dinner given by Taib to which senior Ministers and officials would be invited.
Secretary of State's RAF VC10 departs Kuala Lumpur.
Breakfast and snacks served on board VC10.
Arrive Delhi.
Short welcoming ceremony (Menon said this need take no more than 10-15 minutes and that the Secretary of State could therefore be away from the airport by 1255 hours).
Depart airport for High Commissioner's Residence. Private working lunch at Residence.
Call on Vajpayee at the MEA followed by first plenary session of Talks.
End of first plenary: return to Residence.
Call on Lord Carrington by Mr Kundu, Minister of State at the Indian MEA.
