WORKING ACCOMMODATION
(a) A Private Office is being established in all Residences at which the Secretary of State is staying. All Missions have also been asked to provide two or three offices for use during the day as either Private Offices or by other members of the delegation.
(b) The exception to the foregoing paragraph is Baghdad where the Private Office will be established in the Embassy.
10. COMMUNICATIONS (All Posts)
(a) Telegrams
i) A continuous watch will be manned at each Post at times
notified to the Post by Communications Operations Department. This will ensure that telegrams flow smoothly from Post to Post along the whole of the journey.
ii) Telegrams should be addressed "Following for
./From
iii) Telegrams marked for individuals should not be given any
distribution without the prior consent of the person to whom the telegram is addressed.
(b) Telephones
i) In all Posts the Embassy/High Commission switchboard will
operate on a 24-hour basis.
ii) Posts have been asked where necessary to provide a direct line
between the Embassy/High Commission and where the Secretary of State is staying.
(c) Special Couriers
i) Miss Milton (FCO) has been appointed Special Courier for the
trip Tokyo-United Kingdom.
ii) Miss Owen (FCO) will, if necessary, be the Special Courier
on the flight out to Tokyo.
iii) Anyone travelling on scheduled services who find it essential
to take classified papers with them should also apply for a Special Courier's passport.
iv) Special Couriers are asked to contact Communications Operations Department, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Mr Chapman, telephone number 233 3706). All boxes, bags and briefcases
to be taken in the VC10 must be entered on their respective Waybills.

12. SECURITY
(a) Security instructions will be issued to each member of the delegation before leaving the United Kingdom.
