A small footnote to my letter of 6 March about the leaking of the news that the Governor was to visit Peking.

In paragraph 3 of that letter I mentioned a fairly detailed article in the SCMP on 6 March (before the news was officially released here). I said we had been told this story came from London. The editor of the SCMP has since told me that one of his people managed to dig out some details here.
