Tourism. There were many suitable places in Guangdong. This needed cooperation with Hong Kong. They were considering the development of Shenzhen as a tourist area and also the beaches at Deep Bay and Heisha.
In reply the Governor spoke as follows,
Water. He was very glad to hear that when engineers from both sides met in September there could be discussion of future supplies.
Electricity. He knew about the coresment to supply 50 kilowatts from the beginning of April; but he was not clear about Guangdong's needs after that. (Replying to this point ir Zong said it was possible for Guangdong to delide on buying a certain amount of electricity from their local resources of foreign exchanges, he present agreement would cost Guangdong D0410 milljon a усал. Sea transmort, It would be helpful to know whether the Chinese would require a container vort of their ovm in Hong Kong. Should they need such facilities, Hong Kong would be prepared to provide them on speciel terms.
Railway. There was some share capacity at present. There would however be much more after 1982 when capacity would increase. two to threefold because of the electrification and double-tracking of the railway.
