T. To enhance Premier Hua's nersonal standing as an international figure, and more generally the
standing of China as a world nower, and a reliable
ally of Britain and the West.
2. To warn the British Government against the dangers of trusting, and coonerating with, the Soviet Union, and to encourage them actively to combat the Soviet
Union's pursuit of its international ambitions.
3. To press for further trade concessions, narticularl
in the EEC context.

policy, narticularly towards Indo China.
