PREMIER HUA GUOFENG'S VISIT, 30 OCTOBER-3 NOVEMBER
1.
I attach a draft letter from the PUS to Sir John Hunt, setting out our objectives, and briefing which will be required, for the forthcoming visit of Premier Hua Guofeng from 30 October to 3 November.
2. I should be grateful for any comments by midday on Friday 31 August and will take a nil return by then as indicating concurrence with the drafts.
3. I shall be sending out calls for briefs nearer the time. But it would be very helpful if departments could let me know now if there are any subjects on which they consider briefing should be provided, which are not covered under the attached draft list of briefs.
