Polynesia. We should have to seek French agreement for this,

which they might be reluctant to give in view of the French nuclear

test site at Muroroa only 620 miles from Pitcairn.

Probably the worst proposed location in terms of seismic

noise. An NSS here could detect water-borne signals from the

French test site at Muroroa but the site is too remote to monitor

any other territory with the possible exception of Henderson, Oeno

and Dedcie which are all uninhabited islands near Pitcairn.
