Proposed Seminar on the Future of/British Dependent Te
itofies
Thank you for your letter of 19 June. I'd very much like to attend the proposed seminar on the future of British Dependent Territories and I am most grateful to you for inviting me.
I'm afraid I can't offer any immediate help with names of people from Dependencies. My own contacts are all from countries which are or will soon be independent. The remaining Dependent Territories are not necessarily moving along the same trail. I will, however, ask around and let you know if anything turns up.
A useful academic participant would be Professor David Murray of the Open University. He has much recent constitutional experience of Pacific Islands both independent and dependent. His contribution would be valuable.
My home address is now:
R.J.T. McLaren, Esq,
65 Wavendon Avenue, Chiswick, London, W4 4NT.
