SEMINAR ON THE FUTURE OF MITICH DERLENT CERRITORIES
1
Thank you for your letter of 26 April to lony Clarke with helpful suggestions for possible participants in the seminar we are planning to hold at low in westember. i am sorry to have taken so long to reply: this department also deals with mong kong, and I am afraid that the problems of Vietnamese refugees there have pushed everything else into the background in the last couple of months!
We have now sent out invitations to the sexiner to possible academic participants. attach a list of those to whom invi- tations have been addressed. e very much bone that you will also be able to participate: I attach a cosy of the letter of invitation that we have been sending: thic rives full details of the time and place of the seminar, and an outline of the form we expect it to take.
The next step, on which we are now working, is to try to identify some suitable non-academic participants - journalists,
politicians etc. we are also anxious to obtain the participation of people from the Territories themselves. If you are aware of anybody who will be in the UA in September, we should be very glad to consider sending them invitations.
