Proposed Seminar on the Future of British Dependent Territories
I am sorry that because your letter arrived here after I had left for Lusaka, this reply has not come to you sooner.
We are grateful for your invitation to the Secretariat to be represented at your seminar. I am pleased to inform you that Mr. A.V. Hayday, Assistant Director in the International Affairs Division of the Secretariat, will be representing the Secretariat at the seminar. Regrettably, because of their involvement with the next meeting of Commonwealth Finance Ministers in Malta during the same period, none of my colleagues in the Economic Affairs Division will be able to join Mr. Hayday.
I wish the seminar well and trust that Mr. Hayday will give it the benefit of information regarding the outcome of the con- sultations the Secretariat has organised on the subject with Commonwealth Governments in recent months.
