COLONIAL REGULATIONS

1.

In your letter HKG 025/2 of 9 February to Robin O'Neill, about amending Colonial Regulation 57, there was a suggestion that you were actually engaged in bringing the Regulations as a whole up to date.

2. If that is so, this would seem an appropriate moment to propose a change of title for the Regulations. The adjective "Colonial" in the title rankles a little with Gibraltarians (the Chief Minister raised the point with the Governor only last week), and we wonder whether you would consider changing it to Gibraltar Government Regulations, or Regulations for Dependent Territories or some similar title which avoids the Colonial connotation?

Yours ever, Чемо

Bin Harishome.
