COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION:
1.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE
It may be useful to you to have the following information about the Annual Conference of the CPA, which is being held this year in New Zealand from 17 November to 1 December.
2. The Lord Privy Seal will lead the UK Delegation. He will be accompanied by his Private Secretary and Roger Barltrop, Head of Commonwealth Co-ordination Department.

The other members of the Delegation will be:

Mr Neil Marten, in his capacity of Treasurer at the CPA Headquarters Secretariat, will also attend the conference.
4. CPA annual conferences are gatherings at which Commonwealth Parliamentarians exchange views on political, economic and other subjects of mutual interest. No resolutions are passed and no communiqué is issued. These meetings do however provide an opportunity for our MPs to explain the British point of view on current problems to as many as 200 other Parliamentarians from a wide selection of developed and developing countries.
5. It is expected that virtually all Commonwealth countries. and dependent territories which have Parliaments will send delegates. In federal countries the Parliaments of the centre and of the provinces or states are entitled to representation. Certain independent countries will not be represented at this year's Conference as their membership is in abeyance. They are
