GARETH NIALL MULLOY

Mr Mulloy was born on 16 August 1937. He is married with two children (sons). He was educated at St Ignatius College. After his National Service in the Navy from 1956 to 1958, he joined the Ministry of Pensions and National Insurance in September 1958 as an Executive Officer and transferred to the Ministry of Social Security as a Staff Instructor.
He accepted temporary transfer to Hong Kong as an Executive Officer Class I on 28 June 1967 and transferred permanently with retrospective effect in 1969. He became an Administrative Officer on 1 July 1968, Senior Admini- strative Officer in August 1974 and was promoted to Staff Grade C on 1 February 1977. Whilst an Administrative Officer he served in the Secretariat (Councils Branch) before taking the Ashridge Management Course in 1971, and serving as a City District Officer (Wan Chai). Subsequently service in the Security Branch dealing with policy matters relating to the Police Force was a prelude to his present posting as Police Civil Service Secretary:
He is reported on by the Secretary of Security as a useful, hardworking and reliable member of the service who is doing a good job as Police Civil Secretary.
