1. I have discussed the above with r all. is opinion is that Ir Wallace is so keen to get to Bermuda that, if he was given a firm undertaking that he would be given the Deputy Governorship in April 1980, he would wait for it until then.

If this was agreed, I think we should enshrine this decision in the minutes of the DTUAB. we could perhaps, in submitting fr Lloyd's extension till April 1980 to the Board (by circulation of papers), also draw attention to the proposal that Mr Wallace should follow him on after that date. he would of course need to sound r wallace out on this suggestion.
