I have received the enclosed letter from Miss So Choi-lin ( Miss Vivien So ), chairman of the Hong Kong Government Shorthand-Audio Typists Association, who you will recall meeting during their visit to London in January.
In these circumstances, it would be greatly apprecaited if their case could be re-opened, as it were, with Lord Goronwy Roberts at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
I hope, very much, that you will be able to help.
Perhaps you could let our sisters from Hong Kong or myself know of any action you are able to take on their behalf, please.
I am sending a letter in similar terms to other Members of Parliament and leading Trade Unionists who our friends met during their visit to this country.
