Hry M. Cheung said the latter of 17th July was a conclusion of the last three meetings in which they had raised a number of questions and the
Jæers givea to them were only ambiguous answers. She said by now the Official Side should know what the Staff Sidə wanted and in this meeting they would like to have the Official Side's intention regarding the pay scale of the H17. They were not going to argue on the figures any more because since the Official Side falled to give a definite anavar and there was no need to continue with the argument ou figures.

The Chairman asked whether the Staff Side åd not want Nr. Mace to answer any of those points raised in their letter any further.

Kra. Cheung said the Staff Side did not want to waste time on this point unless the Official Side would like to provide the answers in writing.

The Chairman said at the end of the last meeting, Mr. Mace did send the Staff Sida a letter providing answers to some of the questions in writing. He asked if that answered the Staff Side's questions clearly.

Mrs. Cheung would like to refer to their letter dated 17.7.1977. In that letter the SAT Unit had already expressed their comments on the answers provided by Mr. Hace. The answers were ambiguous e.g. in the 3 questions concerning whether the 17 companies were being chosen out of the 24 companies, no definite answer was being given to the question.

The Chairman asked whether the Staff Side was referring to page
5 of their latter. There were two questions there.

Mrs. Cheung said they had already explained themselves clearly in the letter and they did not want to waste any time on those queations again they hoped to have answers to the questions in black and white.

Chairman said he did not think it would be wasting time concerning the questions. They could also have them confirmed in black and white later.

Mrs. M. Cheung said they had already clearly explained their view in the letter on page five and now they would like to continue the agenda of this meeting, i.a. the 2nd item concerning pay scale.

The Chairman said he was of the opinion that it would be useful to have answers given to those questiona on page 5.

Cheung said although the Cfficial Side said it would be able to provide them with answers in this meeting, they certainly could provide facts and evidence in answer to what Mr. Mace was going to tell them. xas a waste of time to discuss those two questions in this meeting. They would like to have the answers in writing and would provide the Official Side with facts and evidence in black and white.
