Mrs. Cheung said that options should be suspended and that no member of the SAT Unit would sign her letter of option until Government had given favourable consideration to the question of a pay increase for Shorthand/Audio Typists.

The Chairman said he would look at the question of letters of
Mrs.Cheung handed to the Chairman a letter addressed to the Secretary for the Civil Service. She said the Unit would appreciate a reply before 29th January 1977 as the Unit were proposing a meeting for about that time.
The Chairman said that the Secretary for the Civil Service would reply to the letter before 29th January 1977.
It was agreed that lirs. Cheung would let the Chairman know when she wished to meet the Official Side again.
