TRAINING
2. Engineering calculations associated
with current carrying capacity of cables, wires, fuses and other circuit protective devices.
3. Single and three-phase circuits, the
earth circuit, insulating and conducting materials, switchfuses and insulators.
4. Wiring diagrams and symbols.
5. Simple test equipment.
6. Building materials.
7. Industrial hazards including those
associated with electrical and mechanical work and on-site work, and safety precautions to be observed.
8.
Installation practice and regulations, and relevant codes of practice, such as fire prevention regulations and restriction on frequencies used for machines.
9. Relevant sections of the Factories and
Industrial Undertakings Ordinance and subsidiary legislation.
A. Type :-
4-year organized craft apprenticeship or 3-year organized craft apprenticeship if preceded by a relevant one-year full-time basic craft (apprenticeship) course or a 3-year course in a prevocational school, with attendance at a relevant part-time day-release or block-release craft course in a technical institute.
