Designs and advises on :-
(i) electrical plant and equipment,
machinery, instruments and tools and plans and supervises their installation, operation and maintenance,
(ii) electrical and electronic
components used in products.
Ability to :-
1. Apply original thought and judgement to the analysis and solution of electrical and associated engineering problems.
2.
Advise on electrical and associated systems and equipment.
3. Design electrical and associated systems
and equipment in accordance with requirements and specifications.
4. Prepare specifications, operational
procedures and codes of practice.
5. Plan, develop and supervise the
manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical and associated systems and equipment.
6. Prepare and evaluate tender documents, and carry out contract administration.
7. Liaise with contractors, suppliers,
clients and the public.
8. Develop subordinate staff and appraise
their performance.
