with assorted opium smoking equipment, were seized. Chinese male YUEN Kee (5913/1015) was arrested and charged with (a) Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking and (b) Possession of Opium Smoking Equipment. YUEN will stand trial in the District Court.

54. In January, 1977, Narcotics Bureau and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), who had been investigating for over a year the activities of an organisation involved in the export of heroin to Vancouver and Amsterdam, took positive action which resulted in a number of arrests both locally and overseas.

55. On 14th January, 1977, Chinese male Lui King (0712/2529) was repatriated to Hong Kong from Amsterdam, where he had been detained for an immigration offence. He was detained upon arrival in Hong Kong. The previous day, Lur's wife, Lui Au Shun-ha (0712/2962/7311/7209) had been detained whilst attempting to leave Hong Kong. A third member of the group, an engineering officer aboard a cargo vessel, was located in Karachi and re-called to Hong Kong. After being interviewed, he volun- tarily left for Canada where he is assisting the R.C.M.P. in this case.
