0.203 kilogrammes of No. 3 Heroin seized from the dashboard of the car.

'Possession of an Instrument fit and Intended for Smoking Opium' were preferred, and, on each of these counts she was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment. All sentences were to run concurrently.

47 On 20th September, 1977, Customs and Excise Officers raided premises in Shanghai Street, Yau Ma Tei. 1.616 kilogrammes of raw opium and 0.43 kilogramme of prepared opium were seized along with a quantity of opium smoking paraphernalia. Two Chinese males SIN Kwai-chung (8112/ 2710/2646) and TANG Kan-pui (6772/6975/1014) were arrested and charged with (a) ‘Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking' and (b) 'Possession of an Opium Pipe'. SIN was sentenced to 24 years imprisonment on charge (a) – no evidence was offered on charge (b). TANG was find $150 on charge (b) – no evidence was offered on charge (a). (CE/101/246/77) 48 On 12th September, 1977, acting an information, Narcotics Bureau Officers seized 3 jerrycans of acetic anhydride, containing 54.5 litres, from the third floor staircase of 1-9 Yuk Shing Building, Block D, Yuk Sau Street, Happy Valley. No arrest was made and enquiries are continuing into the case. (HV/MRB/4177/77)

49 On 17th September, 1977, acting upon information Narcotics Bureau Officers raided residential premises at Wan Hoi Mansion, 2/F, 52 Hillwood Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. As the Police party were forcing entry, 2.08 kilogrammes of No. 3 heroin were thrown from window. The occupant of the flat, Chinese male Wu Man-choi (5170/2429/2088) was arrested and charged with 'Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking.' This case is pending trial in the Supreme Court.

50 On 13th October, 1977, Narcotics Bureau Officers entered a wooden hut at 45 Ku Hang Village, Tsuen Wan, New Territories. Inside they seized 2.9132 kilogrammes of No. 3 heroin, 1.4 litres of acetic anhydride and 2,52 kilogrammes of ephedrine hydrochloride (a Part I Poison). No arrest was made. The heroin was of very low purity (4%), thus it is believed the hut may have been used for 'cutting down' higher grade heroin.

On 14th October, 1977, a raid was executed by Narcotics Bureau on a Chinese herbalists' store at TAK YAN SIN TONG, Flat E, 1/F, Fung Wong Village Building, Ngan Fung Street, Tze Wan Shan. One Chinese male TSANG Kwok-kwong (2582/0948/0342) was arrested when 0.4943 kilogramme
