1. I am writing to thank all concerned for the very helpful response to my letter of 31 August about the vacancies at Chief Superintendent level in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force. As a result, we have received details of six officers who are possible candidates. The information about them has been passed to the Hong Kong Government Office in London who will be organising the selection procedure for the vacancies.
