1. Mr Gordon A T Bagier, MP for Sunderland South, has sent the Secretary of State a letter he received from
who is at present serving a sentence in Stanley Prison, Hong Kong. in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force until his arrest by the ICAC in January 1977 and subsequent conviction on charges of conspiracy. In his letter gives his account of the case and claims that he was irmocent, closing with an appeal for assistance, Kr Bagier has asked the Secretary of State for his comments.

I would be grateful for information on this case sufficient for me to give a full and satisfotory reply. I enclose a copy of
letter which quotes the case number as VDC69/1977 and the appeal number as 918 of 1977.
