20th June 1978
On 6th June Albert Sanguinetti came to see me. I understand you were to accompany him but were otherwise occupied
when the time came. Subsequently Albert wrote to me, and copied f
his letter to you.
I understood from Albert that a
vas to
swear an affirmation to the effect that he had comitted perjury in giving evidence in
that he was to do so on Albert's advice and that the affirmation was to be forwarded to me by you.
I have not, however, received the affirmation and I wonder, therefore, what the present position is. Perhaps you would be so good as to let me know.
I should, perhaps, add that the requirement for an affirmation is not from me. I would naturally consider any state- ment, in whatever form, sent to me.
Yours sincerely,
