and 96 other former officers of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force in the matter of their petition to Her Majesty The Queen concerning the determination of their services pursuant to Colonial Regulation 55.
I am to inform you that the petition, having been duly received, has been referred to the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Relations for advice, and that he in turn has asked the Governor of Hong Kong for a report on the matters covered in the petition. The petition will be laid before Her Majesty as soon as the Governor's report is received.
