Jim Crane will be looking around for the right people for both these posts as soon as he gets back. will be talking about these two, and the six mentioned above, to Sir Colin Woods, the Chief Inspector of Constabulary, on the day after he reaches London. stage nothing will be said publicly about the search for these two very senior posts. Indeed, knowledge of the proposal will be kept within a very small circle here. Obviously, at no stage before the final decision has been taken, would we say anything about who might take over as Commissioner of Police.
