I started on case on 28/7. I was to assist the ASDI to make enquiry
to assist the Coroner. I know CID enquiry had stopped when I started on
the case. Starting from rooftop I made a door to door enquiry asking
them about this incident. This was on 29/7.
There were several flats where I get no reply. On 30th I went again.
There were still some 3 or 4 flats where I could get no reply.
I got
statements from
I also made enquiries at home of deceased, and at C-U of Hong Kong.
I took over 20 statements from various people.
At C.U. I interviewed many people who had known deceased at C.U. I
gathered deceased had been a very active student there. He.
·was described
as a leader. I learned he had been chairman of dept. of Philosophy and
editor of a newspaper of CU. In opinion of those I spoke to he was
· optimistic and liked to help others. All his schoolmates would not
believe he had killed himself the ones I interviewed,
deceased.

I examined staircase windows in Hong King found nothing of note.
I was given by various people a number of documents relating to
None suggested any explanation of deceased's death. No suċċide

In July I was attached to UB Western. There was then in the CID
• DC KO Kwai Hung. I am not clear to whom he handed case over, It should
be to the duty officer. Not ASD, sub. inspector HO.
I only came on scene on 29/7. I was just involved on 28 and went to deceased's home in Tung Che Bldg. to make enquiry.
As far as I know, no investigation between handing over to UB by
CID and when I became involved.
Investigation to assist coroner, started on 28/7 was conducted by me,
ASDI KO & several other PCs.
