Explanatory Memorandum
The object of this Bill is to amend the Crown
Land Ordinance so as to provide greater control over
unlawful occupation of unleased land and to provide a
summary remedy in the case of unlawful conversions of
agricultural structures.
The Bill also widens the existing
power of entry and inspection, creates a new criminal
offence in respect of false statements and confers broader
powers on the Housing Authority.
