if you do not accept the offer mentioned above within

the time limits specified in para. 4(1) above, the said

offer will automatically lapse and be deemed to be with-

drawn. Your attention is drawn to the fact that if you

fail to accept either the cash payment of 10 per sq.ft.

or the offer of a future exchange as outlined above, then

at any hearing held before the Lands Tribunal, the Crown

will base its case on the value assessed for agricultural

purposes under Sections 10, 11 and 12 of the Crown Lands

Resumption Ordinance.

I am prepared to include in this exchange any other land which

you may own within an approved layout which is also of use to Government

but which is not the subject of the above-mentioned resumption notico.

• I am also prepared, to arrange for a grant of building land to you

jointly with other owners of land which is the subject of these

resumption proceedings and of which the title is validly registered in

the name of the other owners concerned, in exchange for lands surrendered

by you and the other owners if this would enable the regranted land to

be of the size, at least, of a whole building lot.

as soon as possible bringing with you this letter,

your Identity Card or Company Seal and the Title documents in respect

of the land to be surrendered.

In conclusion, I would explain that it may not be possible

to inform you within the time limit allowed for acceptance of this offer

of the location of suitable land to be granted in return for the land

which you are being asked to surrender. However, you may rost assured

that Government will do its best to ensure that land negotiations of this

kind are handled with the greatest possible speed.
