I am a law-abiding citizen and I have a clear record.

I operate a legitimate fish pond business for the

support of my wife and children; and

The loss of this vehicle is a grave hardship on me

and my business.

a month.

The income from my business amounts to approximately $1,500.00

This is derived from the annual fish harvest in December/January

when the fish are fully grown and taken out of the ponds daily for sale.

This explains my wife's possession (as is known to the Immigration

Department) of a sum of approximately $17,000.00 in cash which was

derived from the sale of the fish. I feel that I should mention this as

otherwise this sum may be interpreted as a sign of wealth or means.

When the fish have been removed, the ponds must be replenished

with small fry so that they may be reared to maturity for the next

harvest. I have to make daily purchases of fry but as my goods vehicle

was seized I had to purchase a small second-hand car for such purpose

(partly with borrowed funds) as I did not have the means to purchase a

goods vehicle which is much more expensive. The car which I have at

present is unable to serve me adequately in my business and for the

reasons set out above I ask your Excellency to give sympathetic

consideration to my moral claim for the return of my goods vehicle.
