The money collected for each item ranged from.42 to over $10. It is ́estimmtei

that a total of some $80,000 has been collected during the past four yours.

while All the oney has been put into the account of the ordert bise (11 the

expenses for these miscellaneous items were claimed from the C.G.

Owing to the management of the CG. and miscellaneous fees in this

vay, the phenomenon of the shortage of funds appeared in the school.

Therefore, the school authorities made another excuse, that-is:

The repayment of loans.

y are there loans to be repaid? The school authorities say that the school owes the Govt and the order: debts because the money for the

construction of the school premises were paid by the Education Dept and the arder!. But our investigations show that the total expenses for construction were $3,369,800, including the Govt subsidy of $2,587,800 which need not

be repaid and a sum of $782,000 which should have been paid by the Congregation

to the si hom but was in fact paid by the Govt in form of an interest free loan In

other words, what the school has to repay to the Govt is this sum of $782,000

of interest free loan.

According to regulations laid down by the Govt for repayment of loans, this sum diould be fully repaid within 11 years. That is, repayment of $39,000 in each of the first two years, and repayment of $7200 in each of the subsequent 9 years.

The money for repayment is in fact paid by the students. From the Second year onwards, the school fee was increased from $50 to $52. Me two dollars increased, together with the $12 of "tong" (lecture) fee in the $50 (altogether 14 dollars), are the sum of money permitted by the E.. to be collected for repaying the loan.
