Terms of contract to be observed by staff members of Precious Blood Golden Jubilee Secondary School

The School is run by the Catholic Sisters of the Precious Blood Congregation. Its objective is to glorify God and cultivate good personality. The spirits of the School are manifested in meetings and activities prescribed by the School. Consequently, all staff members should attend these meetings and activities punctually and assist their functioning.

All teaching staff members have the responsibility to assist the school in administrative work, in supervising and counselling students in extra-curricular activities. Besides teaching, all teaching staff should co-operate with appointed staff-members responsible for these duties to jointly educate the youngsters.

All political activities or sayings involving political parties are strictly forbidden,

Duties, subjects taught, and time-tables of teaching staff, once being finalized, cannot be altered or changed unless the School Administrative Committee has decided otherwise.

Teaching staff members are not allowed to do any work not concerned with teaching in classes,

Reference books, supplementary readings, notes or stencils that any teaching staff members suggest or give to students must be relevant to the curriculum and in accordance with the objective of the School. Permission must also be obtained from the school.

Should any teaching staff members require students to stay in school after regular lessons have ended for extra- lessons, experiments or tests, the cause for staying, time and the numbers of students involved must be reported to the School and permission obtained beforehand.

All staff members should be loyal to the school. Without permission, no staff can use the School name for any activities. Neither can they collect or receive any money from students in the School.

All teaching staff members must arrive punctually to school for lessons and duties so as to set an example for students, Form-teachers and teachers on duty should arrive to school 10 minutes before the first lesson begins and should stay in school until the last lesson has ended. If any teaching staff should arrive late or leave early, the causes for so-doing must be explained to School Administration Office. Fully employed teaching staff are advised not to take up any outside school jobs or duties so as to give full full credits to their professional spirits. In principle, they should stay whole day (according to school hours) in school. If any teaching staff should leave the school early, the cau-se for so-doing must be explained to the School Administration Office and permission obtained. Should any staff invite friends and relatives to the school for visits, permission must be obtained from the School beforehand.

Concerning termination of contract as it expires and dismissal of staff, sick-leave, maternity leave, retirement, resignations and termination of contract before it expires, the School will abide by the Code of Aid.

Unless otherwise stated, all staff must abide by this contract.
