On March 2, 1978, the School issued a letter to-all Form 5 students concer-

ning their examination and vacation time. At the end of the letter, it

was written that "regarding the matter of opening Form 6 classes, the

Management Committee is studying the possibilities and will announce the

decision afterwards."

On April 3, five warning letters were sent to five teachers on some false

grounds. Two more were issued to two more teachers on April 12.

bo On April 4, 1978, the Education Department deregistered Sister Leung, the

former principal, as a teacher, principal and supervisor and announced the

Erecious Blood Order refunded the school a sum of over three hundred and

twenty thousand dollars on March 2.

In early April, 1978, dissatisfied with the unconcerning attitude shown by the

School concerning the need of the Form 5 students for further studies (Form 6),

the Form 5 students began to approach the Professional Teachers' Union, the

Education Action Group and other post-secondary student organizations to seek

help. On April 13 they wrote to the press to ask for public echoes on their r

request.

62 On April 23, a Chinese newspaper quoted a statement of a senior Deputy Director

of Education, that the Education Department had no regulations concerning

opening of Form 6, and the students should enquire the School authoritiy

directly. The students were very dissatisfied by the irresponsible attitudes

shown by the authorities.

13 On April 28, 1978, some students tried to obtain from a Vice-principal the

results promised by the School of the investigation into the bag search

incidents. The Vice-principal gave no reply but accused the students of

"surrounding" her. Later on the same day, the students went to the Principal's

Office for an appointment with the Principal. The secretary refused saying that

the Principal was having an appointment.
