In November, 1977, after the news-sheet issued by the students organizations of

the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Miss Hilda Kwan phoned the University Authority

and the Student Union, saying that she would sue the responsible parties which

issued the news-sheet. It was also reported that some outsiders drove in the

University compound and note down the signatures on the wall posters supporting

the actions for justice of the students and teachers of Golden Jubilee.

On December 6, 1977, another news-sheet reporting on Golden Jubilee issue was jointly

published by the student organizations of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and

the Hong Kong Diversity. 20,000 copies of this news sheet was printed and dis-

tributed to various secondary schools including Golden Jubilee. the news sheet

included an interview with the Golden Jubilee teachers, studen.s' articles writing

on school life in Golden Jubilee and other articles calling for more students and

educational bodies to face the reality existing in Golden Jubilee School.

On January 20, a letter stating all the happenings in the school was sent to the

Justice and Peace Commission which is directly appointed by the Bishop. On January

26, the Commission informed the teachers that the above said letter had been re-

directed to the Bishop.

48 Ever since September, the ex-officers of the Students' Union had requested repeatedly

Miss Kwan about the re-establishment of the Students Union. No reply was ever given.

On February 1, 1978, the six classes of Form 5 students formed a Preparatory

Committee for matters concerning opening of Form 6. This committee was formed in

view of the fact that although the students had repeatedly asked the school

authority to decide on whether the school will open Form 6 or not (Before the
