A. The New Principal, miss Hilda Kwan
1. appointed by the Bishop
With the departure of all the nuns of the Precious Blood
Order who had been staying in the school for four years was the
arrival of Miss Hilda Kwan. She was appointed principal by the
Most Rev. Bishop John Baptist Wu on August 1 1977.
Sister Lorraine Turcotte, the headmistress of St. Clare's
Girls' School where the Deputy Director of Education, Mr. Haye,
spoke out against "smear campaigns" discounting achievements
of religious orders in education was made Supervisor of the
school.
2. Supported by the Education Department
As Sister Lorraine could not be present in Precious Blood
Golden Jubilee Secondary School, Miss Kwan herself ran the school
with a senior officer from the Education Department, Mr. P.C.
Fung, who had been appointed one of the members on the School
Management Committee.

The new principal came, employing fifteen new teachers and
later four more when four old teachers resigned in the middle
of the school tern, Some of the new teachers were her former
students and some of them were relatives of her friends. Among
these new teachers, two of them were made the deputy principals,
five of them the disciplinary form teachers and two of them
