These demands were then presented to the school Management Com-
mittee in writing.
On April 15, the Sports Day of the school,
letters
from the Management Committee informed individual teachers that
Sister Leung had resigned. Mr. Fung Ping-cheung, a Senior Edu-
cation Officer, had joined the Management Committee.
Sister
Fan Ling-chi would act as the School Supervisor and the Manage-
ment Committee had appointed Sister Siu Lai-fong the acting Prin-
cipal of the school. The letter reiterated that the alleged finan-
cial irregularities were being investigated by the Education
Department and in the meantime the Precious Blood Order would
not make any comment or statement on them.

Management Committee implied that the Order had put the blame
of misusing school funds on Sister Leung alone, thereby making
a scapegoat of her. Moreover, by removing Sister Leung from
the school, the Precious Blood Order had completely deprived
the teachers of the opportunity to seek first-hand information
from the person who was directly involved.
On April 19, 1977, all the teachers held a meeting
and decided to write a detailed report listing the financial
irregularities to help with the investigation.
On April 22, two teacher representatives handed the
