Dear Mr. Bray,
Further to my letter dated 20th July, 1978 and its enclosures, I am enclosing herewith clippings from English and Chinese News- papers regarding my opinions towards the development of the Pre- cious Blood Golden Jubilee Secondary School and copy letter to the lawyer of the dissident students and teachers for your kind reference.
The lawyer of the rebellious students and teachers had private- ly asked me for compromises. Unfortunately, the Education Depart- ment and Catholic Church had surrendered under the pressures when I was prepared to interfere. So it did not go further.
The radical action and speech could never get the supports from the mass. The Hongkong people understand what are really needed and acceptable by this civilized and liberal society for its future prosperity.
