Grants for passages for teachers employed on overseas termo shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of Appendix 17.

NON-RECURRE ̈T AND CAPITAL GRANTS

35. (a) The lirector may approve grants in respect of

items such as major repairs and major items of furniture or equipmont, where such an item costs not less than $4,000. Such a rant shall normally be made in the ratio of 80% contribution by Government, 20% contribution by school, and shall be based on the approved tendered cost or actual cost, whichever is the less. The Director may, however, determine such other ratio of contribution by Government and school as may appear to him appropriate in respect of any such grant.

(b) The lirector may approve, for purposes of

The Director may approve capital grant for buildings, furniture and equipment in respect of a new school, or of extension to or reprovisioning of an existing school, administered under the terms of this Code of Aid.

The Director may in order to assist an aided school which is establishing a library for the first time, approve a library grant for the purchase of library books. Such library grant shall be $1,000 per planned class of Forms I to V and 2,000 por planned class of Form VI; provided that the management committee of such school shall provide a contribution of $250 per planned class of Forms I to V and $500 per plamed class of Form VI for this purpose.
